An amateur video has emerged showing the shocking scale of destruction wrought by the massive explosion that rocked Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Tuesday night.

Governor Seyi Makinde has attributed the blast to explosives stored by illegal miners at a house on Dejo Oyelese street in Adeyi, Old Bodija.

The video showed several houses levelled to the ground and burnt out vehicles with the scene bearing stark resemblance with a war zone.
