The chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission, Prof Mahmood Yakubu has presented certificates of return to the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
His running mate, Kashim Shettima was also presented with a certificate of return as vice-president election.
Speaking afterwards, Tinubu said no Nigerian has more rights than others.
He predicted that soon a young person, woman or minority will also hold such certificate of return.
He said though hard work in noble endeavours
He said the mandate was a sacred duty, he cannot ignore and promised to make Nigeria much better
The victory he said is not for one man or one party but for all well meaning Nigerians.
He said that though many people did not vote for him, he extended a warm embrace as the Nigeria project was for all.
He said he was ready to work together with others to uplift the nation.
His said that his heart and doors were open in the task to rebuild Nigeria day by day, brick by brick.
He said that all should join hands to defeat hunger and poverty, establish peace, eschew violence, end hatred and bias.
