In one of the most sensational transfers of the summer, Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, has completed a permanent move to Galatasaray for a staggering fee of €75 million, smashing the Turkish Süper Lig’s all-time transfer record.
The Istanbul giants teased the deal on social media midweek, even offering fans a livestream of the striker’s flight to the Turkish capital. The club officially confirmed the blockbuster signing on Thursday, sending shockwaves through European football.

Osimhen, 26, arrives from Napoli after a stellar spell in Serie A, where he established himself as one of the most lethal forwards in Europe.
His switch to Galatasaray comes after a successful loan spell last season, during which he became a fan favourite.
The Turkish champions have now moved decisively to secure his services long-term with a staggered payment structure, honouring his €75 million release clause over a five-year period.
This move obliterates the previous Süper Lig record set by Youssef En-Nesyri, who joined Fenerbahçe from Sevilla for €19.5 million last summer.
Osimhen’s deal is nearly four times larger, underlining Galatasaray’s growing ambition and financial muscle on the global football stage.
The player with earn €15 million per season under his four year contract with a €1 million loyalty bonus and €5 million image rights fee.
Speaking to the club’s official channel, GSTV, Osimhen expressed his joy and emotional connection with the club
“I have a deep connection with this club, this city, these people. That’s why I fought so hard to return here,” Osimhen said.
“I continue to have that feeling, to continue playing with a purpose.
“I want to do what’s best for myself and the fans, and I’m really happy to be here,” he said.
