UAC completes acquisition of Chi Limited from Coca-Cola

UAC of Nigeria Plc (UAC) has completed the acquisition of CHI Limited, a Nigerian food and beverage company, from Coca-Cola Company.

On July 30, UAC announced an agreement to acquire CHI Limited, producers of Chivita and Hollandia.

UAC announced the completion of the transaction in a statement by Ayomipo Wey, company secretary, on Friday.

The company said the acquisition was completed following approval received from the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).

Eelco Weber, managing director (MD) of CHI Limited, said they are pleased to have received regulatory approval for the transaction.

“We look forward to a smooth transition and to seeing Chivita|Hollandia (CHI Limited) thrive under UAC’s ownership,” Weber said.

Also, Fola Aiyesimoju, the group MD of UAC, said the company is excited to officially welcome the CHI Limited team and brands into the UAC family and is eager to work together to build on their strong legacy and market leadership.
