Naira recovers further against dollar at official FX window

The Naira, on Friday, appreciated further against the American dollar at the official window of the foreign exchange market.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) foreign exchange data showed that the Naira closed at N1,457.95/$1, as against the N1,460.49/$1 it traded on Thursday.

This represents a gain of N2.54 for the local currency against the American greenback.

The local currency lost N5 against the British Pound to trade at N2,020/£1 as against the previous day’s rate of N2,015/£1.

It, however, closed flat against the Canadian dollar to trade at N1,200/CA$1.

The Naira lost N10 against the Euro to trade at N1,730/€1 as against the previous day’s rate of N1,720/€1.

Naira gained N5 against the dollar to trade at N1,495/$1, as against the previous day’s rate of N1,500/$1.
