President of France, Emmanuel Macron and his much older wife, Brigitte Macron, were involved in fight a they arrived in Vietnam on Sunday.

TheNewsmatrics reports the unexpected scene was caught on camera during the arrival of the couple at the airport in Hanoi, Vietnam. They are on a tour of Southeast Asia.
From the video circulating on social media, President Macron appeared to have received a “dirty slap” from Brigitte before they both descend from the presidential jet that took them.
The dirty slap caused Macron to step back in bewilderment. After recovering and regaining balance, the French President waved at the press from the foot of the steps of the presidential jet.
Meanwhile, Brigitte remained momentarily hidden inside the plane blocking any view of her body language. The couple then descended the steps of the plane together.
As the couple descend the steps, Macron offered Brigitte his arm, which she refused to take, opting instead to hold the railing.
However, Macron’s office has passed off the incident as “a moment of closeness”.
“It was a moment when the president and his wife were relaxing one last time before the start of the trip by having a laugh. It was a moment of closeness,” an official told Reuters.
TheNewsMatrics reports 47-year-old Macron and 72-year-old Brigitte have been married since 2007.
The pair met in 1993 when he was 15 years old and she was 39. At the time, Brigitte was a drama teacher at Lycée la Providence, a Jesuit high school in Amiens, France, and Macron was one of her students. Notably, Brigitte’s daughter, Laurence, was also in Emmanuel’s class.
