Atiku visits El-Rufai, tackles security operatives over arrest attempt

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has visited former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, after the failed attempt by security operatives to arrest him at theAbuja airport.

The former Vice President, who shared the video of the visit on his Facebook page, also accused agencies of the government of trying to disorganise the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

On Thursday after El-Rufai arrived Nigeria from Cairo, Egypt, attempts were made to arrest him at the airport.

Atiku said, “Last night, I paid a solidarity visit to the former Governor of Kaduna State and stalwart of the African Democratic Congress, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, following the failed attempt to arrest him at the airport upon his arrival in the country.

“He was unfazed by the incident and remains committed to the battle to enthrone a better Nigeria.”The opposition leader said.

El-Rufai has been in the news recently following his recent criticism of the present administration and association with the ADC coalition.

He recently raised an alarm that the authorities were planning to arrest him.
