Ex-Finance Minister, Kemi Adeosun loses husband

Former Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, has lost her husband, Anthony Adeniyi Adeosun.

A statement by C. A. Adeosun, for and on behalf of the family said the ex-minister’s husband passed on Wednesday at the age of 62 years in Lagos.

According to the statement, the deceased is survived by his wife; children; and siblings, including Adewale Adeosun, founder of Kuramo Capital.

The family further announced that the Christian burial arrangements for the deceased will be announced in due course.

“Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in the assurance of God’s Word: ‘Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord… that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them’ (Revelation 14:13).

“The family requests privacy during this difficult period as we grieve our irreplaceable loss. Details of the funeral and Christian burial arrangements will be communicated in due course.

“We thank all who have reached out with prayers, condolences, and support,” the statement read.

The deceased’s wife served as Minister of Finance, under late President Muhammadu Buhari, from 2015 to 2018.
