The First Lady of Yobe State, Hafsa Kollere Buni has commiserated with her Borno State counterpart, Falmata Babagana Umara Zulum over the devastating flooding in the state which has claimed over 30 lives.
In a statement issued on Friday, Mrs Zulum expressed solidarity with the resilient people of Bornu during “this challenging and trying time following the recent devastating floods.”
Describing the loss and devastation as deeply saddening, and horrendous, the Yobe first lady offered her condolences and prayers as well as assurances of solidarity with the sister state.
“I stand with you all in condolence solidarity and prayer. May strength, hope, and unity guide the recovery efforts as we rebuild homes and lives”, she said.
“Together, we will rise above this tragedy. My thoughts and unwavering support are with every person affected . Stay strong, Borno. We are in this together, she added.
