Co-founder of Access Holdings and longtime business partner of Herbert Wigwe, Aigboge Aig-Imoukhuede and businessman, Tunde Folawiyo were is a separate helicopter travelling alongside Wigwe when his aircraft went down on Friday.
Sources close to the situation said the billionaire businessmen hired two helicopters to fly them, family members and friends from Palm Springs, California to Las Vegas, Nevada where they all planned to watch Super Bowl 58.
It was learnt that the ill-fated Flight N130CZ, operated by Orbic Air LLC, took off from Palm Springs at 8:45 pm but was last seen near Fort Irwin/Barstow, California, at 9:49 pm, Friday.
Officials from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department were notified of the downed aircraft at 10:12 p.m. local time, according to Mara Rodriguez, a public information officer with the department. She added that the crash site was located east of Interstate 15, near Halloran Springs Road.
The US authorities are investigating the accident.
