A blaze erupted at a two-storey building within Dosunmu Market, located in the Lagos Island Local Government Area of Lagos State, reportedly around 11:10 a.m. on Tuesday.

Lagos State Fire Service’s Head of Public Education, Amodu Sjakiru, confirmed the incident, indicating that fire personnel are on-site to avert further casualties. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

He stated that two-storey buildings were affected by the fire, and Lagos State Fire Service personnel are currently at the scene to prevent further casualties.

He said, “Fire service personnel are currently on the ground to stop the fire and stop any further casualties. The fire affected two-storey buildings. Details about the fire will be shared soon.”
