The Police Command in Akwa Ibom confirmed the attack, leaving many to wonder if this was a deliberate attempt to disrupt the local government elections

In a chat with journalists in Ugo on Saturday, the police public relations officer (PPRO), ASP Timfon John, said that all electoral materials meant for the election were not consumed by the fire.

Ms John said that the command had reinforced security at all the AKISIEC offices and strategic locations in the state.
