The Anambra State Government has demolished a notorious kidnappers’ den operating under the disguise of Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites aka “La Cruise Hotel”.

The hotel is located along the Onitsha-Owerri road in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area.

The demolition was made public in a video uploaded on the X page of Anambra State New Media on Saturday night.

The footage revealed the horrifying discoveries made within the premises, including well-partitioned graves on the last floor, believed to contain the remains of over 30 victims.

The demolition exercise was carried out under tight security, and in compliance with Anambra State Homeland Security Laws.

Reports said that the authorities uncovered a shrine within the hotel, allegedly used for occult practices by the criminal gang.

Prior to the demolition, operatives of the newly launched Agunechemba security squad had raided the hotel and arrested some suspects.

Those arrested included two suspected kidnappers, along with five sex workers who reportedly provided cover for the suspects.

Further reports quoted an operative as saying: “The raid followed credible information from concerned members of the public about suspicious activities at the brothel.

“We received reports of young men visiting the brothel regularly, arriving late in the evening and leaving early in the morning. We kept watch, confirmed the information, and apprehended them.”

The operative confirmed that some gang members remain at large and vowed to track them down.
