First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, on Tuesday, paid a surprise visit to two former military leaders, Generals Ibrahim Babangida and Abdulsalami Abubakar, at their hilltop residences in Minna, Niger State capital.

Both Babangida and Abdulsalami are neighbours in their hilltop neighbourhood in Minna.
No reason was given for the visit and no statement was issued.
But, the First Lady who flew in a private aircraft, touched down at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport in Minna at 10.30 am.
Niger State Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago and his wife Fatima Bago received her at the airport.
Mrs. Tinubu went from the airport to Babangida’s residence where she held a closed-door meeting with him for about 35 minutes.
Afterwards, she visited the nearby residence of Gen. Abubakar.
But though the purpose for the visit was not made public, speculations are rife that it may have to do with the politics of 2027 which is more than two years away.
The homes of both leaders are usually pilgrimage centres for politicians who are seeking endorsements.
