The family of renowned Nigerian musician Tuface, also known as Innocent Idibia, has petitioned the Department of State Services (DSS) over his alleged disappearance, expressing fears that he may be missing.

This was disclosed in a formal letter addressed to the DSS by the family‘s legal representative, Anuge, Anuge & Co.

The development comes amid ongoing divorce saga between Tuface and his wife, Annie, and his engagement to Natasha Osawuru, grand daughter of billionaire mogul,  Sir Gabriel Igbinedion, and a member of the Edo State House of Assembly.

The family’s petition to the DSS reads in part:

“We are solicitors to the Idibia family, acting on their firm instructions to seek your urgent intervention regarding the disappearance of Mr. Innocent Idibia, also known as 2Baba. Our clients believe he may have been missing since February 10, 2025.”

The letter further states that Tuface left his residence in the early hours of February 10 for what appeared to be his routine morning walk but never returned.

Efforts by his family, staff, and record label to contact him have been unsuccessful, raising serious concerns.

It also highlights unusual activities on his social media accounts, where several of his close associates received messages soliciting financial assistance—something the family finds alarming, as 2Baba is financially independent.

This has led to fears that his identity may have been compromised and that he could be held against his will.

“The implications of this situation are grave, and the possibility of foul play cannot be ignored. Given his status as a responsible family man and a dedicated artist, his prolonged silence is deeply concerning,” the letter reads.

The family has urged the DSS to urgently investigate and locate the singer, emphasizing that his disappearance has left his loved ones traumatised and his music empire in jeopardy.

Tuface was seen in a recent post on X presenting an engagement ring to Natasha and declaring his love for her. He had earlier cause a stir when he turned up at the Edo House of Assembly in Benin.
