Seven dead, four injured in Lagos-Ibadan expressway accident

Seven people were killed in an accident around the Ibafo axis of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Saturday.

The crash, which occurred around 7am, also left four persons injured.

According to the situation report from the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) Ibafo outpost command, the incident involved two tankers and a yellow public transport bus.

The casualties are six males and one female.

The injured victims were taken to Divine Touch Hospital, and Glory Centre Hospital, Ibafo, while the corpses were taken to Idera Hospital morgue, Sagamu.

Officials of the FRSC and police officers were among the first responders at the scene, with the accident causing gridlock on the axis.
