President Bola Tinubu has paid glowing tribute to Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on the occasion of her 65th birthday, describing her as “the love of my life” and “a steadying anchor” through decades of shared struggles and triumphs.

In a heartfelt statement released from the Presidential Villa on Sunday, President Tinubu reflected on their journey together — from years of political activism and exile to the responsibilities of national leadership — praising the First Lady’s unwavering strength, grace, and devotion.

“You are more than my wife,” the President said. “You are my confidant, counsellor, and the steady flame illuminating my path. In you, our children and grandchildren see the example of compassion and faith, and in you, our nation sees the true strength of womanhood; resolute yet tender, humble yet unshakably firm.”

President Tinubu lauded Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s quiet sacrifices, noting that her support has been as vital to the nation as his own public service.

“In every sacrifice you made quietly, in every burden you carried without complaint, you have served this country as surely as I have — not from the podium, but from the heart of our home,” he said.

He concluded the tribute with a prayer for her continued good health, joy, and fulfilment, adding: “I love you more than ever, and am blessed every day by your presence. Your love is a treasure I hold dear.”

Oluremi Tinubu, a three-term Senator and Nigeria’s First Lady, marks her 65th birthday today with well-wishes pouring in from across the country.

Those who have sent tributes include Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume and Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
