Reportedly born around 1927 in Gombe, Dahiru Bauchi spent over seven decades teaching Qur’anic exegesis (tafsir) and leading millions of followers across West Africa.

He was widely recognised as the Khalifah of the Tijjaniyyah Ibrahimiyyah in Nigeria and served as deputy chairman of the Fatwa committee of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA).

He is survived by dozens of children, students, and followers.
