The Executive Council of the Public Relations Consultants Association of Nigeria (PRCAN) has announced plans to host the maiden edition of the PRCAN Knowledge Hub, a new flagship professional development platform focused on artificial intelligence and the future of strategic communication.
The hybrid event, formerly known as the PRCAN Masterclass Series, is scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, 2026, and will take place at the Lagos Marriott Hotel Ikeja, with virtual participation also available.
The announcement was made by the PRCAN Executive Council led by Nkechi Ali Balogun, who said the initiative reflects the association’s commitment to preparing communication professionals for the rapid technological shifts reshaping the industry.

According to PRCAN, the maiden edition will feature leading local and international experts in strategic communication, digital media, and artificial intelligence. Among the facilitators is Karl Haechler, Chief Executive Officer of Burson Africa, who will deliver a session titled “AI-Driven Strategic Communication: Mastering Algorithmic Disruption and Digital Volatility.”
Also speaking is Tomiwa Aladekomo, Chief Executive Officer of Tech Cabal Nigeria, who will present on “Rewriting the PR Playbook: AI-Driven Storytelling, Media Intelligence & Reputation Management.”
The session will be moderated by Mojisola Saka, Chief Engagement and Experience Officer at Booucles Africa, and Ayeni Adekunle, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Black House Media.
PRCAN said the Knowledge Hub is designed as its flagship capacity-building platform, targeting senior and mid-level practitioners across public and private sectors. Participants are expected from PRCAN’s membership base as well as allied industry bodies, including Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN), Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN), Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN), and the Media Independent Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MIPAN).
The programme will feature targeted learning sessions, case studies, interactive workshops, and live demonstrations of artificial intelligence tools relevant to modern public relations practice. Key focus areas include the application of AI algorithms in PR, managing digital disruption, crisis communication in volatile online environments, AI-powered content creation and analytics, reputation management, and deepfake detection.
Commenting on the initiative, Adetola Odusote, Chairman of the PRCAN Education Sub-Committee, described the Knowledge Hub as a strategic evolution of the association’s training mandate.
“As technology transforms communication practices, it is imperative that we equip practitioners with future-ready competencies. The PRCAN Knowledge Hub empowers professionals, institutions, and policymakers to leverage digital disruption as a strategic advantage through the responsible and intelligent application of AI,” Odusote said.
PRCAN has extended invitations to marketing and communication professionals across both the public and private sectors, including corporate and policy communicators, brand strategists, media professionals, and integrated marketing communications practitioners, to participate in what it described as a landmark inaugural edition.
The association said the Knowledge Hub will become a recurring platform aimed at strengthening professional standards and ensuring the Nigerian public relations industry remains globally competitive.
