The Department of State Services (DSS) has warned of planned major attacks by Boko Haram terrorists in Michika LGA of Adamawa and Askira-Uba LGA of Borno state.

According to a leaked DSS memo posted online, the planned attacks are linked to the breakdown of a ceasefire agreement between the terrorists and the two state governments.

The memo says the terrorists are planning to abduct senior government officials, councillors, district heads, pastors and residents of the affected communities.

“Furthermore, the terrorist elements are targeting to kidnap district head of Michika alongside his son, who stays in his residence.

“Already, the terrorists have deployed surveillance team in preparation for the planned attack.”

The DSS advised troops and forest guards to strengthen security across the affected communities to prevent the planned attacks.
