The Paramount Ruler of Mbo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Ogwong Okon A. Abang, has been kidnapped by gunmen in his palace at Ebughu.
The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has confirmed the development through its Public Relations Officer, Timfon John.

According to John, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, the Command’s Commissioner, CP Ayilara Waheed Adedamola, and other Service Commanders and Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Internal Security have gone to Mbo LGA.

She said: “I can confirm that CP and other Service Commanders and Commissioner for Internal Security were there.”
