The Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump has said Vice President Kamala Harris would be easier to defeat during the presidential election.
The former US president said this shortly after President Joe Biden announced his exit from the presidential race.
Biden had bowed to pressure and dropped out of the race due to concerns over his age and mental acuity.
Following his decision, Biden had endorsed his Vice President to emerge as the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate.
Announcing her nomination, Harris had vowed to defeat Trump during the election.
However, in a phone call with CNN, Trump said: “He is the worst president in the history of our country. He goes down as the single worst president by far in the history of our country.
“While it’s unclear who the Democratic nominee will be, I think VP Harris will be easier to defeat than Biden would have been.”
