The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has earned a spot among the top three federal Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) for the best-performing websites in 2025, according to the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR).
This accolade, announced on December 22 at the Federal Ministry of Finance Auditorium in Abuja, places NCC in second position out of 235 MDAs assessed—behind Galaxy Backbone Limited and ahead of the Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC). The formal award ceremony followed on December 23 at BPSR’s office.

The ranking evaluated websites on 14 criteria, including .gov.ng domain compliance, aesthetics, content relevance to mandates, device responsiveness, security, load times, usability, uptime, functionality, interactivity, accessibility, and capacity building. It aligns with Nigeria’s National e-Government Masterplan, tracking progress in digital governance.
Receiving the award for NCC’s Executive Vice Chairman, Dr. Aminu Maida, was Executive Commissioner for Technical Services, Mr. Abraham Oshadami. He hailed the recognition as motivation to further leverage digital platforms for stakeholder service and the Federal Government’s Ease of Doing Business agenda.
BPSR Director-General, Mr. Dasuki Arabi, praised the top performers during the presentation. He emphasized how the six-year-old scorecard initiative drives reforms under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda, promoting transparency, accountability, and global best practices post-COVID-19.
Arabi stressed the public service’s duty to deploy tech innovations for agile, cost-effective governance. The rigorous process involved inter-ministerial jury evaluations over weeks, with quality assurance to ensure accuracy. It aims to boost information access, seamless transactions, anti-corruption measures, and citizen services.
This BPSR nod comes weeks after PEBEC ranked NCC among the top five MDAs for overall 2025 performance, cementing its reputation for digital excellence in Nigeria’s e-government push.
