The All Progressives Congress (APC) has clinched another chairmanship seat in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) council polls.
Daniel Nuhu, the ruling party’s candidate, has been declared the winner of the Kwali area council election after polling 17,032 votes.

Nuhu defeated his closest rival, Haruna Pai of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who secured 8,575 votes to place second.
The result was announced on Sunday morning by the presiding officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the final collation centre in Kwali.
Nuhu’s victory extends the APC’s lead in the FCT council elections. The party had earlier won two other chairmanship seats.
With the Kwali result, APC now controls three of the four area councils declared so far.
INEC had previously announced APC winners in AMAC and Bwari area councils, while the PDP secured victory in Gwagwalada.
